Overview

The Post-Degree Diploma in International Business Management teaches you about importing and exporting, market research to develop market entry strategies, supply chain management, managing in international environments, and legal and financial aspects of international trade business.

Get one-of-a-kind training 

The International Business Management program is the only one of its kind in Canada to be offered in partnership with the  (FITT) program, a not-for-profit organization offering international business resources, training programs and certifications for global trade professionals. 

All students in the post-degree diploma will be automatically enrolled in the FITT program and receive an industry recognized FITT Diploma in International Trade upon completion of all requirements. Once you complete a year of work experience in international trade, you may also apply for the  designation.  

Please note that you must have a bachelor's degree in order to take this program. 

Admissions Requirements

Applicants must meet the admission requirements listed below:

  • General College Admission Requirements
  • Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada or an equivalent credential from an approved institution of a different country. Any applicant who earned their credential in a language other than English must meet the ºÚÁϱ¬ÁÏÍø English language proficiency requirement.

Note: It is recommended that students have a minimum grade of 60% (grade C) on average in their undergraduate degree.

Graduation Requirements

  • Successful completion of 30 credits
  • In good academic standing
  • 70% (21 credits) of all coursework must be completed at ºÚÁϱ¬ÁÏÍø.
  • A minimum program GPA of 2.00 is required.
  • Time limit to complete the program graduation requirements: four (4) years. Any courses completed outside of that time limit will not be usable. Students may seek the permission of the Department/Program to complete a credential outside the approved time limits.
  • Effective September 2024: Up to 50% (15 credits) of coursework used towards a previously received credential can be used to meet graduation requirements (see the Credentials Awarded Policy and note 5 below).
